A-Gas is seeking a highly motivated and environmentally conscious Field Service Technician to join our dynamic Rapid Recovery team. In this role, you will carry out refrigerant recovery at customer sites using the A-Gas mobile Rapid Recovery equipment, and service all types of equipment ranging from domestic refrigerators to large industrial systems (non-ammonia). The larger systems include supermarket racks, chillers that cool large buildings, and specialist systems. The product recovery range will include non-flammable refrigerants as well as A2L refrigerants. 


The focus will always be on customer service, efficiency and reliability, and safe work practices.


This position also requires a customer-focused attitude with the ability to convert potential accounts into customers and retain business within an allocated area. The Rapid Recovery customer base ranges from small businesses (up to 10 refrigerant trade employees) to Large national/regional organizations. The FST sales base will be small businesses and recovery activities will cover all customers within their geographic area.


Your day-to-day tasks:
  • Performing on-site refrigerant recoveries from a variety of locations, including supermarkets, cold storage facilities, and large air-conditioning plants.
  • Operating, maintaining, and servicing specialized recovery equipment.
  • Ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and environmental compliance standards during the recovery process. You will be trained on these.
  • Building, maintaining, and extending positive relationships with customers through clear communication and professional conduct.
  • Completing all necessary paperwork and documentation for each recovery job.
  • You will have the opportunity to work independently in the field while being part of a supportive team.

This is a fully remote position that requires traveling to our customer sites.

Job requirements

Essentials

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technical Service role, HVAC, or refrigeration is a great benefit.
  • Well-developed communication skills to build, maintain, and improve customer relationships.
  • F-Gas certification is a plus. Otherwise, you will be fully trained to become a refrigerant specialist.  
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively is crucial.
  • Flexibility to drive around in a defined area within Germany.
  • Willingness to support your Dutch colleagues at our Netherlands site at Eygelshoven, and to meet them for example for training purposes.
