Job description
This role is responsible for preparing DSEAR and ATEX compliant Low-Voltage electrical designs and sub-contract technical packages for the design, construction and commissioning phases of capital projects at A-Gas UK/EU sites.
You will be working as part of a cross-disciplinary EU Engineering team located in the UK and NL, supporting local Engineering teams on sites throughout Europe.
Conducting wiring inspections against ATEX regulations, snagging & fixing of issues.
Job requirements
Essential
o HNC/HND or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
o Fluent in English.
o Experience in delivering engineering projects.
o Understanding of relevant industry regulations and standards.
o Experience of control systems and LV electrical design, construction, and commissioning industrial plant and machinery.
o Experience of AutoCAD LT/Electrical or similar.
o Ability to read P&ID drawings.
o Able to coordinate and work effectively with external contractors
o Excellent organisational, planning, communication and time management skills.
o Able to anticipate and solve problems related to projects.
o Strong collaboration and team working skills
Desirable
o Experience of chemical processing plant and pressurised liquefied gas systems.
o Understanding of Functional Safety standards, especially IEC 61511.
o Experience in ATEX and DSEAR design and installation.
o Experience of configuring variable speed drives.
o 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
o NEN 3140 Working Safely on or near electrical installations (low voltage) Certified
o COMPEX certification (Particularly Ex 1-4 and Ex12).
o Programming and commissioning of Allen Bradley PLC systems.
o SCADA system design experience, preferably Ignition.
o Multilingual.
