Database Administrator - MS Azure/ AWS, CISSP, ITIL

We are currently seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our Engineering department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems, with a specific focus on MS Azure and AWS platforms. Additionally, knowledge of CISSP and ITIL best practices will be essential to ensure the security and efficiency of our database infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
• Collaborate with cross-functional, international teams to troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly.
• Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
• Monitors the databases and compliance with security administration procedures and reviews information systems for actual or potential breaches in security.
• Drafts and maintains procedures and documentation for databases. Manages database configuration including installing and upgrading software and maintaining relevant documentation.

• A degree relevant to IS/IT or substantial experience that demonstrates a professional approach to IS/IT development.
• Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models, Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
• Experience working with Windows servers, including Active Directory, Oracle database administration, OLTP, and data warehouse design and operation. ·
• CISSP and/or ITIL certification is beneficial to express confidence in Cybersecurity within database technologies.
