Management Accountant

Job Purpose

The Management Accountant holds a pivotal role within the UK finance team. You will act as the point of contact from a financial perspective for any financial queries. Your responsibilities extend across the finance team and UK business providing support to fellow team members and other stakeholders by delivering solutions to queries and guidance. Your primary duty is to oversee the daily functions of the finance team and ensure month-end processes are followed and accurately completed within the given timelines.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential

• Part qualified with either CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
• At least 3 years of accounts experience including assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and transactions.
• Skilled in analysing financial data, general ledger reconciliation and variance analysis.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture.
• Strong Excel skills (Including the use of pivot tables). 
• Experience supervising junior members.

Desirable

• Experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• Experience in using Great Plains and Planning Analytics (IBM).
• Communicating with staff at different levels.
