Job description
This role will provide leadership of a multi disciplined engineering team that deliver design & build projects across A-GAS’s European sites. Working closely with the European Leadership team helping develop strategic decisions for capital investment plans and the subsequent delivery of these. It will provide appropriate prioritisation of projects, work closely with all Engineering and Operation stakeholders to ensure designs are fit for purpose and timely constructed.
Job requirements
Essential
o Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications and experience.
o Excellent people & leadership skills
o Experience of stakeholder management and strategic planning.
o Demonstrated experience of engineering project delivery.
o Experience of building and leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team
o Skilled in performance management, coaching, and mentoring
o Experience in preparing CAPEX submissions
o Experience of HAZOPs, EMOC and MOC processes
o An understanding of Industrial safety systems design.
o Good commercial awareness (make vs buy, contract management)
o Experience in a chemical, processing, production, or manufacturing setting
Desirable
o A good background in engineering design and management
o An understanding of relevant industry standards including ATEX
o Technical knowledge including Process Safety Management
o Understanding of the PED and its requirements
o Understanding of fractional distillation and similar techniques
o Experience of dealing with regulatory bodies
o Experience of working within the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning industry
