What you’ll love about working in the Operations team at A-Gas Europe
You’ll lead, coordinate and develop our Safety Environmental and Quality standards across our European Operations. Through recent acquisitions and mergers, and with more to come, we’re eager to develop and find new ways to implement a first class ZeroHarm philosophy.
You’ll join and collaborate with a wider management team, bursting with ideas on how to move our European business forward. Your ideas will be heard!
You’ll be asked to drive change and develop our safety culture throughout Europe. Developing and maintaining HSQE compliance policies and setting the strategy for the European region to leverage changes in regulation as well as driving performance.
You’ll join and collaborate with the wider A-Gas international HSQE team to devise and deliver future standards for the business, sharing the good practices that occur within your region.
You’ll work alongside both the European management team and local HSQE professionals to advise them of any forthcoming legislative compliance and report and action on any changes that are necessary.
You’ll help keep control of European compliance with REACH including ODS and hazardous waste reporting for our F-gas annual reports and licences.

Who you are
You will have at least 5 years’ experience of working in a HSQE environment, gaining strong knowledge of Safety management whilst creating and delivering initiatives for Safety culture.
You will have a passion for searching out and creating the Safety culture of the future.
Your technical experience is broad and covers the breadth of a fully functioning Safety and Compliance department – things like Auditing, Quality and Environmental Management Systems, DGSA, ADR and energy isolation legislation LOTOTO.
You’ll also be multi-lingual in a combination of Dutch, German and English ideally and have an understanding or experience of compliance legislation for several European countries.
We’re not worried but if have any experience of the gas/chemical industry though that would be desirable – things like industry standards TPED etc, pressurised equipment directive, fractional distillation and dealing with regulatory bodies such as the ‘Health Safety Executive’ and ‘Environment Agency’ or Europe’s equivalent. NEBOSH and WAMITAB qualifications are also desirable but not essential.
